Summary

Nanotechnology is an important technical field in the development of science and technology in this century, and nanotechnology will create another wave of technological innovation and industrial revolution. Through the analysis of the working principle and performance parameters of the horizontal sand mill, its operation index is determined. The effects of grinding process optimization, grinding equipment improvement, media filling rate, feed amount and slurry viscosity on the operation index, product quality and output of the horizontal sand mill were mainly studied.

Thermal Paper

Thermal paper coating consists of calcium carbonate, developer, sensitizer, dye, lubricant, dispersant, antioxidant, defoamer, leuco dye and some oxides. Grinding methods vary from factory to factory. Some powders are mixed together and ground, and some powders are separately ground with calcium carbonate, developer, sensitizer and leuco dye, and then mixed in a certain proportion to form a coating.

Relatively speaking, the grinding of thermal paper coating is more difficult. Due to the different pre-grinding (pre-cutting) methods, the feed fineness of the particles (into the sand mill) is different. Taking a factory as an example, its feed fineness is dMax≈300~450µm, and d90<200µm. After grinding, the fineness of the coating varies from factory to factory. If there is d50≤0.70µm, d90≤1.5µm, and another manufacturer is d50≤0.35µm.

Currently, there are two types of sanders for grinding thermal paper coatings: disc and rod-pin. The grinding method is single-machine circulation or double-machine series circulation (each machine circulates independently, the product is circularly ground to a certain fineness by the front-stage disc machine, and then circularly ground by the back-stage pin machine).
